We wanted to pay tribute to our territory, starting with the processing of silk in ancient times to the innovation of silicone. We tell it in this short movie that retraces the history of our community, its people and its ambitions.
Today there is a lot of talk about sustainability, how much is effectively implemented remains open. From our side, since the start of the company, sustainability has already been taken into account with every investment; Machine lights are individually and automatically controlled and equipped with the latest LED technology; Inverter control to optimize working cycles in terms of power consumption; Reusable packaging material such as ABS tubes with color-combined article rings, sale of our yarn waste to industrial sectors that upgrade these materials in further processing and not finally the use of only “green hydroelectric power” from our area. These are just a few steps that are part of our company policy and have been done over the years.
With the development of the flame-retardant, biocompatible, high-performance and thinnest silicone yarn muriel ®, our way of working has changed: the customer base has expanded, developments have moved in the direction of new fields of application and the requirements have changed. All of this has inspired us to develop together a new way of communicating to respond clearly and immediately to all your needs. For this reason, our offer has been presented in two specific sections on the new website: one for Muriel and one for LeMur Moda. We want to explain and listen, to then create innovative products that enable you, our customers, to meet current and future challenges and remain competitive in your markets.
In recent years, Muriel’s potential, thanks to its in-house know-how, has allowed us to find new applications in well-known and newly acquired sectors with ever-growing interest from the market.The highly elastic weaving and narrow fabrics with muriel ®-ts in the PPE area, such as for the police, army and fire brigade, should be mentioned here. muriel ®-grip is used as an adhesive material on the surface of tapes and knitted fabrics. muriel ®-ray for all outdoor applications where the sun’s rays (UV rays) limit the lifespan of elastic textiles.
The above-mentioned areas of application have been expanded and thanks to the cooperation with our customers we are able constantly to develop new products and bring them into market.From this series of new products, we would like to introduce muriel ®– MF, a unique silicone yarn with ferromagnetic properties. For us, too, these are new properties that we would like to present to a wide range of customers in order to find possible applications. The yarn is highly elastic, has a high flame resistance, is not conductive but, that is its peculiarity, is attracted by a magnet.
