LeMur Srl has decided to continue supporting the Team Puccetti Racing also for the year 2024, given the good collaboration and the excellent visibility obtained by the LeMur brand at international level, which has led to new interesting technical projects.
The cooperation between LeMur Srl and Team Puccetti Racing dates back to 2021 and started with the idea of introducing muriel ® silicone yarn into the motorbike industry for textile applications in the mechanical sector, where resistance to very high temperatures is required, with an eye also to the automotive sector.
Recently this cooperation has resulted in the development of prototypes of functional fabrics made of silicone in combination with technical fibres with high thermal performance (e.g. glass fibre), which, unfortunately, have not yet been approved for use in official motorbike racing engines by the FIM. Nevertheless this experience allowed LeMur Srl to invest in further projects for the automotive sector for the realisation of high temperature resistant elastic technical functional fabrics.
Team Puccetti Racing is an Italian motorbike team that competes in the Superbike and Supersport World Championship with Kawasaki motorbikes. For 2024 the Puccetti Racing Team is working towards winning the World Championship title with rider Can Öncü. March 2023, Can Öncü was forced to take a long break after winning the Indonesian Grand Prix at the Mandalika circuit (at the age of 19 years, seven months and ten days, he was the fourth youngest winner in WorldSSP history) due to an accident in Race 2 at Assen in April.
