In recent years, Muriel’s potential combined with in-house skills have made it possible to discover ever new applications, in sectors known but also never explored by LeMur, which are arousing ever greater interest in the market. For this reason, LeMur has decided to strengthen the spinning sector by investing in the engineering and realization of a new industrial plant. Thus, for the third time, LeMur has designed a silicone spinning plant relying on internal know-how and leaving only the realization of the various components to external companies.

The new production plant will see the implementation of a series of improvements tested in the course of 2020 in the current plant and will be mainly used for the production of counts greater than 2000 dtex. With a production capacity more than doubled, the plant was designed to cope with the production forecasts for the coming years.

The plant will also be equipped with an automation system that will make it possible to minimize the need of personnel in the management of the machines. The silicone compounding line has such a capacity to feed two other production plants of the same size, allowing LeMur to face any commercial challenge that may arise from now on. The entire production line was built according to industry 4.0 standards and is part of the order, production and maintenance management system already active in the company. It is expected to go into production by the end of November 2021.
