In an article in the German trade magazine ‘R+W Textilservice’ in October 2023, our partner Theoldolf Fritsche GmbH & Co KG presented its technical elastic fabrics for industrial protective clothing.

In the design of these fabrics, made with muriel®-ts elastic yarn, importance was given not only to the protective characteristics of the garments, but also to the wearability. The use of the high-performance fire-retardant muriel®-ts elastic yarn, in fact, inserted only in areas of the garment subject to greater stress such as the shoulders, knees and waist, allows superior mobility and comfort without sacrificing the standards of protection required by international standards.

The garment made with these fabrics is in fact permanently fire-retardant, water- and oil-repellent and protects against thermal risks from electric arcing.

Muriel®-ts, is an elastic silicone yarn characterised by excellent thermal stability and flame resistance. The yarn is mechanically stable over a temperature range of -40°C to over 300°C without loss of elasticity. Furthermore, in contact with flame, silicone does not release toxic fumes and does not melt.
